I do get annoyed when folks try to turn everything into a cause celebre (whatever their political leanings).

I truly understand how it could have set you off when I posted the " your welcome" comment. It is as if the words were jabbing right at you. Other posters have said things that have jabbed right into my heart so I wanted to make it very clear to anyone reading my post that I volunteered to deliver the cheques not only on my own route but on any other route that was un-manned as well. Letter carriers know full well that seniors and young families are our most vulnerable citizens. My Mom only gets gov't pension $$, that is all she gets.
I need to thank you for talking with me about how this has impacted you, as I have 3 kids as well, but for the most part I am " over the hump" as mine are now young adults. This labour dispute still impacts my family financially, but I have no choice but to fight for my rights. I don't have anything against you personally. I'm upset at the situation, Canada Post and the union that represents the employees. I feel like my children are being held hostage for nothing we have done. And it's not a nice feeling. But I know it's not you personally, what set me off was the 'you're welcome'. I have nothing to be thankful for at the moment. Nothing to feel gratitude for. I just hope this all reslved soon, for the sake of everyone involved. Peace.

I am sorry about the treatment you received today from the CP supervisor who took your call. I am also very sorry about your situation. I personally feel that your anger is misguided , however that can happen when your family is impacted financially and you are forced to resort to food banks and such. I did post again in that thread to try and state the " facts" about what the real issue is with the labour dispute, read it or don't. It doesn't matter really and I do realize reading it will not change how you feel about CP employees. I personally am not causing your family hardship, but I feel you see it differently. All the best, really. I mean that.

Hi DaveP actually no I am not happy, as I felt your post was kinda mean spirited. My post saying " your welcome" was directed to many people who seem to believe the media lies about posties. We voluntarily DID deliver all cheques, not sure why yours was not. You moved recently right? Was there a valid change of address filed with CP? I hope it comes.Some got delivered today as well, as they had the new address written over the old address. All the best.
