  1. I agree and would like to add arrogant and obnoxious.
  2. With any luck he'll get bored and move on to another site.

We're all doing good here, enjoying the cooler September temps and the kids are back to school, yay! I hope all is well with you and yours, Lynn.
  3. Lol..yep, sure is! Brings my blood-pressure to the boiling point...not good for an old lady!
    How are you these days?
  4. Thank you for the rep, Dave...I can't believe I can't rep you! Seems we think alike re the 'royals'... blood-suckers, imho. I can't believe that there are still people even in GB who like them...but from what I hear, that's changing, too, and not just with the younger generations. Lots of people are fed up with their pompous butts.
    Gee. Too strong, maybe?
Take care, Hon...hope you're enjoying spring...or...hope you're actually HAVING some semblance of spring!
  5. How did I miss your message about the storm? It was a doozy and it wouldn't stop. Lost power on Sunday for about 6hours, and school was cancelled Monday and Tuesday. Gah. Can't wait for spring! Hope you had a great Valentines Day, Lynn, take care!
  6. Hello, Dave! You've been on my mind all week, when that storm hit the east coast....I hope you and your family fared well and snuggled up and stayed warm.....Those winds were wild!!
    Take care, Hon...!
  7. Merry Christmas to you and to your family, Dave!!!
  8. Hi, Dave! I probably opened a can of worms in the 'olympic' thread in the news section, too...I wonder what your thoughts are? Just curious...
    Hope you're enjoying a sun-shiny day, my Friend!...Lynn
  9. Yes...I've googled it, Dave, and it's quite confusing...April to June, then August to October....goodness! This is going to take lots of planning. And I'm the queen of travel organizing and logistics around these parts!!
I really look forward to this trip...of course, we'll be taking our Jenny with us...she's a great traveller...was on my lap to and from Florida in March! She'll probably enjoy lobster, too...not likely as much as me. OMG....!!!! It's the food of the gods!!!
    Have a happy Sunday, Dave!
  10. It's always lobster season somewhere in the maritimes . One area closes, another opens. Mmmmm, lobster!
  11. I hope so too, Dave....we were chatting about going away this winter again, but I wasn't fussy about Florida again, so then it was on to Texas, the Carolinas....England, Scotland, Ireland....sigh....then hubby reminded me that we've always said we wanted to do the east coast, so that pretty much settled it.
    When's lobster season?
  12. I hope you do make it down here, it`s a beautiful part of the country. Hopefully it`ll be as sunny here next summer as this one.
  13. Thanks Lynn! I hope you and yours have a great long weekend too.
  14. Oh, Hon...I'll send up an extra prayer for your step-daughter tonight...a grandbaby is so much fun...it's more than you can imagine...your wife must be over-the-moon!! Does she live in the same town as you do, or at least close by?
All the best, to her for a healthy pregnancy and the blessing of a precious wee one!!
  15. Hello, my Friend...
I hope you and your family had a lovely Easter...and I wish you Easter Blessings throughout the year!
This is the first year our daughter, hubby and little Jack put together the entire turkey dinner except for my requested dressing and desserts...It was so much fun seeing them chopping, stirring and reading new recipes and diligently following them....! We all had a lovely time!!
    Hugs...Lynn
  16. Oh, I know what you mean about death being a 'mercy' at the end...I'm sorry to hear of her passing, but I'm sure your wife was a comfort to her.
And now we have "our" Dave back! Yay! We missed your sense of humour (such as it is...hehehe), and your thoughtful posts....happy to have you back, Sweets!!
  17. My wife's mom passed in mid January. It was a mercy, end of life can be cruel. She's happy now to be home with the children. The separation was difficult for all of us. Of course, my wife wasn't too happy to arrive home and find two months worth of dirty dishes waiting for her (kidding!). Thank you again for your support and friendship Lynn, it really means a lot.
  18. Dave, how are your MIL and your wife doing? And of course I was worried, Hon....there are so many of us who enjoy reading your thoughtful posts and your sense of humour...I wish things were easier for you and your family...Blessings, Hon...always..Lynn
  19. Thanks for being concerned.

Yeah, sorry about not answering, I lost my internet around the New Year. Had a bit of a tiff with Revenue Canada and had to conserve funds for food and rent and such. Thankfully it's all resolved now and we got reconnected a few days ago. Missed you and everyone here, so glad to be back! Hope you're enjoying your vacation.
  20. DAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're back!!!!! OMG, I was so worried! When you didn't PM me back a loooong while ago....I got scared....
    WELCOME BACK!!!!!!!

    We're out of town on vacation for the month, and our internet connection isn't the most reliable, but I'm SO happy I checked in today and found you here!!!!!!! {{{{{big hugs}}}}}
  21. Ah, Dave....I guess having gone through some very tough times in my life I can sympathize with what your family is facing right now..The clouds do part though, my Friend, and soon you'll be a family again and although one dear member will be missing, I have a feeling that you and your wife, with your children will get past the grief and move beautifully into the future.
Blessings to you and yours, Dear Heart...your very old friend, Lynn
  22. Thank you Lynn. Where getting through it as best we can but it sure is good to have people like you out there who care. Thank you so much for that. ((hugs))
  23. Thinking of you, Dave, and your kidlings and family...I hope everything is going well...Hugs, Lynn
  24. Thanks for asking after us Lynn. The kids and I are okay, but we all miss mom and she misses us. We call nightly and the kids look forward to that. MIL is still hanging on but is not always lucid, which is sad. Hard to say how much time she has left - doctors tend not to answer questions like that directly, but not too long. It's hard on my wife. Thank you again for asking how we're all doing. ((hugs))
  25. Hahaha! Love the pumpkin butt!
  26. YAY! It's OVER!
