yup, I was terrified to drive after failing at that first try. It took me some time to understand the root cause as to why driving was never on my to-do list. None of the females in my large extended family of aunts and cousins drove. My Mom, both her sisters, and all 3 of her sister-in-laws. The men drove I guess?? Plus in my own family we never even owned a vehicle, took transit or walked everywhere.
Such is life.

hey I didn't even pass my drivers test ( at 21 ) when I got it in my head that I was going to buy ( my sisters ) father-in-laws' Pinto. I still cannot believe the old guy would have put MY life at risk just to make a sale!! Luckily I failed that first road test and never returned for a do-over until I was 39! lol

In regular grocery stores when I scan the shelves of products I check the various sizes of the same item. At the bottom of the label on the shelf it will tell you how much it costs you per ml, gram, ounce etc. Often customers will see a larger sized item and think they are saving but not always. Sometimes buying 2 of the smaller sized ones IS the better deal....lol

I mostly buy craft & office supplies, occasional cooking utensils or pans, gag clothing gifts ( socks ), Christmas decor, cardboard take out containers and b'day cards/wrap and gift bags. Those small bags of almonds or other nuts sometimes for Donny, but those are in a sealed foil pouch. I never even remembered that many of their canned foods are packed in water! Honestly eh? The $ stores used to be considered an alternative to overpaying at the grocery and other shops but not anymore.

I am soooo grateful for your reminder about using Dollar store products on our bodies. Donny told me a guy he knew worked as truck driver and often went to their warehouses. He said never buy any food from there unless it's in a can. The guy said their warehouses are crawling with bugs and that foods that comes in packages are easily entered by them!! EWWWW!!

A few years back my DH started drinking this stuff and I never paid attention to what was used to sweeten it! ugh!! I will put what we have left into the food donation box ( awful I know! )

we had better stop drinking coke zero then, just saw aspartame in it!!!

just a quickie heads up, it is cath007 who's father is getting both of his eyes done not flemeth. So far so good for me, except the belly button site is so gross ( dried blood under gauze like bandage.) the swelling is awful looking atm. Is it belly fat or surgery puffiness there? I give up. Until I get 100% back on my strict 1200 calorie a day plan nothing will change.

I couldn’t full time it now. It’s too small and I need more space (we are pretty small currently anyways) . Just can’t go smaller, at least not now but I do love everything another RV life. I’ve always had a dislike for flying but still love the travel so this is perfect especially nowadays.
Your area sounds peaceful and that’s what I want!
