Sorry, was working inside the house and working for "the man". So I didn't make it to Zellers for the sale. Here's hoping that one of the other big stores jump in to take advantage of Zellers faux pas, and have a great sales flyer to make up for this MESS. I like to be optimistic.
Aww, that's very kind of you to say. I hope you managed to use the coupon and get a great deal before the retraction (if you posted in the thread I did read it; I just can't put a deal with a "face" so to say). I used it to get my dad some slippers ($15 + 50% sale + additional 50% coupon = $3.75+tax). And my dad was pleased but secretly I know he thinks it was still pricey. He hates spending money on himself but loves to induldge others.
I think people are still asking because they are disappointed and hope that it isn't true. Congrats on posting before the other deals site had the news. Good on you! Again, if I could give you an award for the most significant thread of 2011, I would. With all the hubbub on Dec. 29, SCs are not leaving 2011 with a wimper - it's a bang. Lol.
I never imagined it would grow to what it has become. And why are people still asking if the coupon is still working? I updated the OP at noon today with the retraction notice. And I have to laugh at the "other" deals site where its members consistently like to dog SCers about being scammers and hoarders with our coupon use. They're the ones who bragged about duping unsuspecting Zeller's employees into getting 50% off TVs and other electronics, plus hoarding Kitchenaid mixers and other popular items. Ahh, can you tell I've been waiting to get that off my chest? I feel better now. P.S. The "other" deals site likes to claim they're the best, so I'm proud that I posted the Zellers 50% coupon offer 4 hrs before it appeared over there.
Your Zellers 50 per cent off thread - it seems like the thread of the year on SC. Wowzers - over 235 readers a few minutes ago. Thanks for giving us the heads up on the deal anyway. Appreciate your efforts.
