  1. So glad you went back and got the purse!
Those Christmas orns are so cute - over the years, I've made and embroidered lots of felt ones; I really, really miss doing crafting!
  2. Hi, Natalka! 'Tis the season, evidently, with my latest email from Better Homes and Gardens: Christmas ornaments and gifts!!
Naturally I had to browse through them, and came across this: how cute!!
Just passing it along for a little seasonal inspiration, Hon...

Now that I look at it again, I think I'll make a bunch of these with various "dress" patterns and use them on Christmas gifts this year!!

Ohhh...love the mittens ones for Grandson...maybe I'll vary them on each gift. But I know for sure my DD will be getting the dolly one!

  3. Thanks so much for the rep!
  4. Thank you, Nat...I was SO stressed out making it! We can live with our own little mistakes, but when sewing for someone else, quite another story. My darling Mom sewed for herself and for me, but refused to sew for anyone else.. Now I can completely understand why! Hope your BIL gets stronger each day, Hon..
  5. Oh, goodness, Nat; I could never cut into a cake that someone has put that much effort into it. Of course what I mean is: I'd eat it when someone else cut into it!
Good for your government, Nat! We're not so fortunate around here; it's just a good thing I "know people"...
  6. Thank you for the rep, Nat!! I hope you had a lovely weekend with your Hubby!
  7. What a lovely sentiment, Nat....thank you and have a lovely day, Hon.
  8. Thanks for the rep; Happy Easter!
  9. Good evening, hope you are doing well!
One of my sisters shared this from YT - it's a 'long-lost' documentary from 1988 made about Ukrainians in Canada - it's very well done and not boring! Broken up into eight parts, ranging from about 6 to 11 minutes long. I think you'd enjoy it - it covers immigration, cultural stuff, etc.
The parts play automatically one after another.

  10. About my signature pic, I fell in love with those little dollies a few months ago when I discovered this artist from Ukraine - Gapchinska. I just love the 'feel' of her art, it's so whimsical. Mostly children, some fairytale based.

Check out google images just for an idea -

  11. Thank you for the rep!
  12. Thanks for the rep; enjoy Sunday!
  13. We all need shmaltz sometimes, that's why I've probably watched a dozen Christmas movies already.
  14. Thx, Lynn - I tend to watch the Hallmark ones online, because then I mostly listen to them as I'm doing other things on the interwebs - I know they're schmaltzy, but sometimes I just need that!
  15. Nat, I noticed you mentioned Halllmark movies: CTV will be airing three of them:
Dec 8, 8pm, Come Dance With Me
    Dec 12, 9pm, Christmas Song
    Dec 14, Baby's First Christmas

However, as 'they' say, check your local listings!
    Enjoy!!
  16. Gosh, won't it be so nice when Vader accepts her again? I hope it's soon, poor mama Taffy. I still say, "What a Christmas miracle!"
  17. GAH! He DIDN'T make a point of comparing a Muslim name with an anglicized one?!!! Frank Smith??! I think we DO know the point he was making and accusing Gryphon of doing himself!! I agree with Jays...
  18. The kitten is Angel Kitty, from Toy Story That Time Forgot - tv Christmas special which came out last year - which you should watch with or without your grandson! Her lines are all Christmas-related wisdom!

Our Taffy cat is really doing well - 'almost' herself. It's amazing how much stronger she has gotten in the past few days. It's still a shock to hold her, because all you feel is spine and pelvic bones - so she's still fragile. She is happy, wants lots of affection, and follows me around like a puppy. She wants to mother Vader, but Vader still says no - but at least isn't hissing at her mom anymore.
  19. Always a fear, Nat, that's for sure;hope everything is in good order when it arrives. I had the same fear and misgivings when I ordered that gold and silver metalic evening clutch for our DD from Brownshoes, but it was so beautifully packed and not a scratch on it. SO happy. I'm sure yours will be fine, but if not I'm sure they have a good policy in place..keep in touch.
  20. Hiya - I had been wanting dishes with poppies for a long time - I would have liked ones with more flowers on them, but this was such a good deal I couldn't resist. Hopefully, they don't arrive broken - that's one big fear I have...
    Enjoy your evening!
  21. Nat, if we had a Linen Chest here, I'm quite sure I would also "live" there!
Really happy you picked up those dishes, they're so happy- looking; of course I'd drive myself nuts trying to line then up perfectly every time I set the table, lol! Which is why we have the plain white Correlle, lol. They're also lighter for me to handle.
    Have a great day, Sweetie!
