We have laid very very low today, just too hot for us to bother mowing the front yard so DH braved the heat and watered the flowers in both front and back and then soaked the veggies that are growing up quickly in the garden.
Honestly, we have no idea how we ever got by without Central Air Conditioning.......neither of us had it as kids, only since we married and moved in here. So spoiled now eh?? ha ha

I slept for 3 hrs earlier tonight ( unintentionally of course while in bed watching the tv ) , so now I am so very wide awake.
I will have to resist cooking anything for my shift workers though, they are doing an amazing job during the 5 day work week making all their own stuff now, I just cook family stuff up for the 4 of us on the weekends.
So glad I finally delegated that task to the 2 guys...it was getting kind of nuts with me cooking 24/7 and then many mealtimes I could never eat much of the stuff as it was not gluten or dairy free.

yeah, it turns out DH says our whole roof will need to be redone anyways before the winter comes around again, so the temporary patching he did with replacing those shingles that were torn off is just so no rain damages the inside of the home.
It is always something when you own a home, always repairs no matter what. Have a great day!!

I’ll be thinking I’m on cloud 9 when i lands in mexico ..when i walk out airport feels that heat omg it will be heavenly ..even better when my feet hits sandy beach then i will feel right at home and hears ocean ..no better feeling in world hear those waves rolling in on beach .i could just sit there listen all day ..i feel so at home and so peaceful ..i could spend my whole vacation on beach walking or sitting i love it sooo much ..thanks lynn ..you take good care yourself sweetie too .

Hahaha...I can just imagine how you will be feeling very soon!! We used to go to Florida for the month of February because I always became so moody-blue then...S.A.D...seasonal-affective-disorder. But the insurance got very expensive after my Hubby had his heart surgery, mechanical valve put in...truth be told, I always got bored there after about the first week. And of course we had to do Disneyworld every time, then with the kids a few years ago....they want to take us again, but I am not too sure about my ability to walk like I used to. Time will tell, God willing. Stay well, be safe and slather on that sunscreen!!!

Hi, Screech! Our DD and her DH and their friends were just there a few weeks ago to take a break from the construction at their house, and OMGoodness...are you going to visit the underground water caves and the Mayan temple...our DD said that the tour of the caves was absolutely magical! If you need info I can get it from her...worth every penny, apparently! Have a wonderful, restful holiday! Take a Gravol for your flight...you may be able to catch a nap! ENJOY!!!

No still haven't managed to get groceries. No one is outside and they expect power outages. Cops said don't go out unless you have to so we're living off canned foods until weather gets better, and we have just run out of frozen! On vacation, fresh fruit was so expensive that we didn't really at any, so I just wanna grab a big bowl of strawberries LOL. Thanks for the kind words and take care of yourself too

no actually I suppose I am not fine as it seems I caught " something " about 3 days ago. Just not sure what to call it. There is the choking dry cough that comes on with no warning at all, the headache on and off during the day, the nausea to the point of I wanna barf! Came close a couple of times. The worst symptom is NO APPETITE!! Oh the horror! ha ha Me? the one who loves to cook ( and eat! ) has been out of commission in the kitchen and my guys are beginning to panic. ha ha

Oh I hear ya, it's crazy. I have a place to be at 5.30am and if I go I'll have to stand outside for about an hour before they let us in. I'm really thinking about not going because it's not that important but around 5.30am it''s supposed to be -20 here and that's before any windhill. I don't feel like standing outside for an hour at -20..

Our winter here in Timmins seems to just go on and on. It goes sometimes well into spring. Where you think it's getting a bit better and you have a clear few days and -1 and then all of a sudden it's -20 again lol.

well then have a laugh at my expense because we've have had our sweet dog Rufus now for 14 years and although we knew his birthday was March 14th, DH and I NEVER EVEN realized that this was Pi Day!! All these years we could have been taking him on his daily walks wearing a special birthday doggy T-shirt with the Pi symbol on it somewhere? We missed out on that for sure. I personally am not into math at all so I get a pass for not knowing about this.....lol.
