A UPS truck had shown up around 2pm during the white out.. while I was making dinner [well prepping everything for dinner] I forgot I left the dog outside and I assumed the UPS was for my dad's boss next door [live on a tree nursery; literally on the farm so UPS only ever shows up for him]. I heard the dogs barking in the backroom ..told them to shut up.. my niece and nephew were passed out on the couches.. Tra la la la... I walked into the living room and looked out the window at the front door.. outside - inside the gate was a large box.. My first thought was "WTF?!" followed by "That better not be my lego prize!" I threw on SANDLES [in 3 feet of snow!] and a fall jacket [oh yes.. minus 7.. snowing and 40 click winds!] I ran out and checked the box [our male dog JUST missed pissing on it too..] it said LEGO in the label.. omigod I was so happy and so annoyed at the same time.
I ran inside.. .. erm.. not before the dog appeard out of nowhere infront of me covered in snow and shaking.. he made me jump too lol
My nephew woke up and I opened the box so he got to see the Lego feeding zoo box [it's HUGE]... I'm so mad though!... They didn't knock on the door [the dog was actually hiding at the back door far away from the frontyard he runs from strangers lol and cowers] or hang a notice on our gate.. .. they just dropped my parcel in the SNOW [3 feet of snow at the gate].
But this also raises the question of did someone in the office next door sign for my parcel? than toss it in our yard?... .. Either way.. it was very VERY unprofessional of UPS. I'm sure I would have had to sign for my parcel [it cam from the USA and all].
This from the company that wouldn't let me sign for my dads ebay parcel [he wasn't home but I lived there.. I showed ID and everything and proof that we lived together.. even called him on his cellphone to talk to the chick who was delivering it... and it was a no go].
My sister couldn't believe it either. They should have taken the parcel to her mother [the post master not 4 minutes away in cameron] and gave it to them than I would have gotten a notice... Oh well.. I have it now that's all I care about... =)
I won the lego zoo on nov 19 got comfirmation that I was the official winner on nov 20.. @FamilyFun sent my information to the Lego company shortly there after and it was sent out on dec 8 from Conneticut lol.. pretty fast =)
ups has stopped knocking on our door too...they just leave it in the porch (which leaks btw) and run...luckily the last two times they dropped stuff and left my mom was home and saw him so she could get it...a few days ago they left my laptop software in the wet porch ughhhhh seriously???

I received my save.ca coupons in the mail today, and they included a coupon for a free Glade Sense & Spray starter kit! :)
Note: I just looked up the price on Amazon.com...and it's worth over $10 (USD) there! Not sure how much they cost at the stores here...I'll have to go shopping for one! :)
ours used to be really good he would come to the door even if it didnt need a signature and would only leave it if we werent home...now he leaves it and runs doesnt attempt to knock...idk if its a new guy since I am always at work but I wouldnt have been impressed if that software sat outside in the leaky porch all day in a paper bubble envie...Quote:
