Everytime Glade FPC or HV coupons come out, the products for the coupons seem to mysteriously disappear from the shelves at my No Frills. At first I just thought a lot of people were using the coupons and they were flying off the shelves. I have looked for Sense and Spray holders there a hundred times and they NEVER have them. Ever.
So I go to No Frills yesterday to pick up a few groceries and stop to check out the smellie section for items that might go with some of my coupons. Well, low and behold at the very back of the bottom shelf shoved behind a bunch of Febreeze candles is one of these elusive Sense and Spray holders!!! WOOO HOOOO!!!! I had to crawl on the floor to get that sucker out of there.
Then I get to the cash and hand her my coupons. She shuffles through and get to the Glade and says, "We don't have these, you can't use this!" So I said, "Yes, you do. It's right here!" She was FURIOUS! It was the most bizarre thing!!!!
I think my No Frills is dodging these coupons. Thoughts? This thread is currently associated with: No FrillsVisit me at www.sarniamomsource.com

It is possible. I know last year when they had the 'new' vileda glass scrubby pads and the FPC I was told by a store employee that the store manager had decided to not carry the product yet. Within a week of the FPC coupon expiring the store had piles of the product. I do think that it was intentional to avoid the FPC.
With the sense 'n spray it has a long enough expiry that you should be able to get them before the coupon is over. I do wonder how much of this kind of game playing goes on and we just don't hear about it.

You should go in and ask the manager or write the company and ask if it just happeneds to happen when you go in for fpc or if it's something they don't want to take part in, maybe they don't enjoy the work in sending them to get their money back.
Who really knows though, I am glad you were able to get the one
way to show them
They don't have them....that does crack me up....well it was in YOUR store....should of asked what other items they were hidden behind

That would make no sense for a store to do that. They are getting reimbursed for the coupons, which makes it the same as if a customer were to come in and pay full price for the item. Ever wonder why LD allows the use of so many coupons? It brings people into the store! When you get fully reimbursed, all you have to prove is that you have sold more products than coupons you are sending for redemption. With less than 1% of the population stacking coupons, that's not a problem. So for a store to do that, they would be losing sales..big time.

The part that surprises me the most is that she obviously knew there was "no" Glade in the store. Definitely fishy.
Better to remain silent & be thought a fool than to open your mouth & confirm it.

Ah..... big business intrigue! I have had the same experience many times. I go to use a coupon and Voila - where there was product last week there is none. But I always thought I was too tardy in getting to the store and other "early birds" had snapped them up. I wonder if store employees still get their own discount if they also use coupons - could this be considered "stacking?" Any No Frills employees out there who could answer this mystery?
