Mary won a trip for two to the US through one of her contests - Norris kept hinting and hinting he wanted to go with Mary. Mary was getting really annoyed with Norris so Mary decided to give the trip to Haley and Roy so they could go visit Roy's mom Sylvia in the US. She was repaying them for how kind they had been to her and she offered to help run the cafe while they were away.

Yes she did have the fatal attraction thing for Norris, but she wasn't getting anywhere with him so she started fixating on Roy. They played chess together and went to concerts, etc and had alot in common. Haley caught onto Mary's little crush and squashed it - and Roy rebuffed her - but they treated her really kindly and Mary saw how good of friends Roy and Haley were and she stopped "crushing" on Roy.

I think we're right on track with the British episodes aren't we?
That's why they were showing Corrie for an hour every night for awhile, so we could play catch up. Now that it's back to only 1/2 an hour isn't it because we've caught up???

i have to admit, ive missed quite a bit lately. :o(
