Love the coloured ribbon....very modern
I've made several cakes like this although I fan the diapers instead of rolling them up :) No one has ever had issues with using the diapers ;) These are so much fun :) Love the flowers you put on there, where were those from???
Great diaper cake! And at such a great price too :D Good job!!
what a beautiful memory you have created for the mom.
it is so refreshing to see a gift from the heart (handcrafted)
they were just from the dollar store. ;)Quote:

thats so cool!!!!!!!
What's the point? Just stare at it? You're kidding right? Parents of newborns do generally USE diapers.
I've never heard of anyone balking at one of these because the diapers weren't sterile and sealed in the package. Not like someone would be eating a donair with one hand while rolling diapers with the other.
Anyhow, that's a beautiful cake, and the free part is the icing on the cake!
They take a bit of time (mostly just rolling up the diapers), but even this non-crafty gal managed to make one for my cousin's baby shower. In addition to being an attractive centrepiece at a shower, they're a great way to give a mom-to-be a selection of diapers in different brands/sizes. As most of us moms know, one brand of diaper doesn't fit every bum, so I made mine out of a couple of different brands/sizes. The leftovers that didn't fit into the cake, I just gave them to her in a gift bag. She put the cake in baby's room and pulled out the diapers as needed.

Very nice!
Thank you so much, I very much agree, I have 4 kids and I always loved any help I could get, I sure as heck wasn't going to not use the diapers because they were curled :-~ There were also a whol box of left overs for her to use, so she was thriled.:PQuote:

Nice cake, but really what's the point of these??? You can't eat it and the diapers have been "played with" and not everyone is Okay with that.
So you just stare at it??

I've made a fair share of diaper cakes in the past and my friends all loved them, great shower display and totally practical - parents can never have too many diapers!!
