I was just wondering how you all tell people about SC? I hand out the coupon to the random person in the store and get out a pen to write this site down.
I was thinking though that I might just make up some business cards of my own to hand out if Boo is cool with it.

If someone could make up some SC business card templates (with the website url on it) and make it a printable file that everyone could access and alter to put their own referral code on it, that would be great.

Thanks for giving me a reason to procrastinate (supposed to be cleaning, yuck).
Here are a couple of simple business card ideas. What do you think? I could put together a template in Word which lets you print out several cards on a page. I'll double check, but I'm pretty sure I don't have the capacity to save pdf's.
Any thoughts? & yippee! I finally(!!!) figured out how to post a pic!

Thanks for the compliment, Miss April, I appreciate it.
OK, so since I really really don't feel like doing my housework (& the dog has decided she'd rather lie in the sun than help me), here are 2 more versions:
The last one needs a bit more work cleaning up the side bar, but at least it's good enough to get an idea.
Any comments? Anything you want on the business card I haven't put on it?

Those are some nice looking templates Andit. I'll have Boo pop in to see them.

I thought about that, but was wondering if it was too long for the average person to bother typing in? I'm probably wrong, but isn't the referral id a rather long link? Or am I confused again (my usual state)? I thought if people put their user id, that would be enough to identify them? It can be fixed easily enough, anything anyone wants can be added (including graphics).
Once the powers that be approve the idea, should we have a poll to see which design works best?
& if anyone has any thoughts, comments, criticisms, please Please PLEASE let me know. This is a collaborative effort!

I sooo know I'm probably going to offend some people here when I say this and I reallly am sorry if I do however I will say it anyways. While this is a great idea and don't get me wrong because I am constantly telling people about this place, but my problem would be the following.
With a "Business Card" it looks like you are trying to recruit people actively. And this is a HUGE community to which not everyone knows everyone and we don't know whether everyones intentions are good. You could have people plastering what looks like "Smart Canucks Official Business Cards" everywhere, enraging people. And if someone, whether it be with good intentions or malice in mind, leaves behind these cards places where a store doesn't allow advertising or soliciting, there could be trouble. And all of a sudden Boo is dealt a law suit based on the fact that A) There are Official Looking Business cards plastered with his site on it. B) If he agrees to make an official business card type deal, he is endorsing it. And if someone uses it in a manner that is less desireable, again if he endorses it, than he could be held liable.
Okay, it seems like I'm not a really trusting person and well you might be right about that, but while SC is a fun active community for all of us involved, it's also a business for Boo and he needs to be very aware of consequences that could come out of specific actions.
Those are just my thoughts on the matter.
