probably going to show my age here, but around 25 years ago there was a dryer bar called Free & Soft (maybe they still sell them? I don't know) - you stuck it to the inside of your dryer - it worked ok, but man, when it came time to remove it so you could put in a new one, you almost needed a crow bar to pry it loose
I ended up just leaving them where they were, and put the new one in a different spot

Thanks for the review. After seeing the commercials for the dryer bar, I must say I thought it was the year's stupidest product. It's being marketed as a "time saver" - how long does it take to throw in a sheet into the dryer? 3 seconds? Sounds especially awful if you're at risk of damaging your clothes by using it.
Anyway, I use dryer balls too and my clothes don't smell like burned plastic. You can also use tennis balls - they do the same thing.

Works fine, been using it for 1+months, no problems.
Just make sure it sticks properly.

There have been about an equal number of people that enjoy the product, and those that hate it. In my opinion, it seems like it's only a matter of time before you'll get a bad piece of equipment.

Same things happen to me. After only one use the bar broke up and damaged my clothes. It was packed in my dryer ad it stuck to the wall of it.. At the time I didn't even bother contacting them I was so mad..
She is totally right folks.. DON'T PURCHASE THAT PRODUCT STAY AWAY FROM IT...

Boy, I consider myself very lucky or I'm overdue for a headache. I swear by this product. I never have had even one tiny issue with them.
No more finding dryer sheets trapped inside the bottom of a pair of slacks, or all over the floor, where they fall when teenagers do laundry and never pick them up.
I have about 12 new bars still in the box that I got for next to nothing ( bought them with fantastic coupons combined with an amazing sale at WM) and I got these before that dreaded HST started ( less tax).
I also read that review about the poor women and the damaged new clothes, etc. I was apprehensive after reading it, but I thought maybe some people are sticking them on a bumpy part inside the dryer, or horizontally instead of vertically allowing the clothes to possibly snag the edge?? or just maybe some dryers have a different finish to them that makes it hard to stick to.
Whatever the reason is that the product failed for some is a mystery to the company as well, as they have many satisfied customers like myself.
If anyone wants to send me there unwanted dryer bars.......I'm open to it

I think the lesson here is always test a new laundry product on something old before using one favorite items!
I have one of these and I've never had any problems at all. I was using those spikey plastic balls but found they would hide in things or get lost so easily. Big fan of the bar right now (although once I'm done with it, I'm going to look at more natural options).

Thanks for the feedback and letting others know of your experience. Thats awful. Seems like customers are always the ginea pigs of new products.
