We paid for our wedding with the savings. Its funny though, I just started couponing earlier this year. I have totally changed my attitude on everything. I think the reason we saved so much on the wedding because I am SO frugal. We did a candy bar as a favor for all the guests. HUGE VASES filled with all different kinds of candy. I got all the candy on end of summer blowout and the whole lot cost me less than $100 (with the bags and even the table it sat on included!!)
We are going to use the savings from now on for buying me a new car.

I am saving for a magic device to stop my bf from snoring. Again, another sleepless night for me. I recorded him snoring with the camera to show him tomorrow how loud he is. That will probably cause a huge argument tomorrow.

There is a device. It's called a CPAP

Benefit plans usually cover this, and it does work.

I am living on my savings, hahahaha - but I guess that's what it's for well I guess actually it's my emergency funds as I've not been working since July 26th do to health issues and once I am well enough to get back to work then I would like to save to get rid of my student loans and start saving for a down payment to buy my Dad's place, it's a dream but I would love to own his 20+ acers to raise my family on (one day) and keep running my daycare I loved growing up in the country and would love it for our kids one day too if we can afford it and Dad sticks around enough more years so I can save enough to buy out my sisters - lol

Oh, it's so nice to read of everyone's accomplishments, and plans for what they are saving for! Warms my heart.
Unfortunately for us, the savings from one shopping trip go on to buy the food for the next week, and the bills, rent - all the living stuff.
I swear we are living on love... and that part of it is wonderful, at least!
We've had dreams and plans, but 'life/reality' have always seemed to have gotten in the way.
