^ Always a tough thing to go through, but what a beautiful kitty!
Cali is such a pretty girl, but requires patience due to a rough early life. I'm working on making her more relaxed and friendly.

Cali after a shave. She does look funny as it's uneven, but at least we got rid of the painful matts.
^ oh, my goodness... she's still a beauty!
So we live in a little old house, and the kitchen drawers are wood - and they kind of stick, so you have to give them a good push to close them totally, especially the top one.
Well, there have been a few times that Taffy has gotten in there - sure don't know why, we find her on top of the silverware just parked there. It's a bit disconcerting to open the drawer and find a cat in there! And there isn't much room!
Yesterday in the morning, I opened the top drawer and it was in a huge mess. Aside from silverware, there is a place for knives, then another where I keep twist ties, carrot peeler, bottle opener, etc. at the front. Well, everything was everywhere - but that drawer was closed, but the bottom one was open a bit. No sign of fur. (When Taffy is in it, she leaves fluffy fur evidence!).
Turns out that the evening before, I was already in bed, but my husband said he heard odd cat sounds, and knew it was Vader - she's a big cat, but meows like a little baby. So he went in search, and sure enough - she was in the drawer and couldn't get out.
I just don't know why they do this - or is it just because they can?

I attempted to give Apollo a "sanitary shave" this week. He's a long hair and gets kitty diaper rash. He promptly sat on his butt. Most uncooperative!

Another pic of Cali. She's taken to regularly climbing onto laps these days after two years with her present owner. This is a real accomplishment. She was kicked when young and was a very withdrawn adult.
A car ride?? No problem!!

Kitty bean bag bliss. Nobody can relax quite like a cat!

A special kitty ( my son's ) we do miss her, she's lived with him FT since he moved. ( SIGH....) :(
OO, she's so very pretty, walks! We still Taffy, which we call "Milan's cat" - for 10+ years she was pretty much his cat when he was living with us - she turns into a very different kitty when he is over visiting us.
thought some might get a smile out of this found on kijiji

reminds me of silly posts i've seen on instagram or twitter, or some
other site, but the distortion - worrisome, sort of
odd that postal code is just around the corner from here.
