Sadly, we lost Izzy last month. She got really sick and just as she was getting better, collapsed one morning.

Jazzy has been really down and getting chubby from not being as active as usual so we got him a new buddy. This is Daisy. She is giving him no choice but to run around as she terrorizes him (playfully, but she rarely isn't with him or Roo)

Meet Lucipurr. She's my nieces' Sphinx cat. Lucipurr needs to be bathed regularly as she gets oily. Despite her strange appearance, she's a playful and affectionate girl who's good for people with allergies.

Yes, I also prefer cats with fur, but Lucipurr is a good compromise if there's someone in the house with a cat allergy.

I love cats but there is just something about Sphynx cats that weirds me out. I am sticking with fur ones. Even for allergies, they produce the allergen, less of it and no fur to stick to, but they are not really hypoallergenic, just less allergenic. Supposedly Siberians and Rexs are better for allergies.

Ukraine’s ATO veterans go from protecting their country to protecting its cats

They don’t only protect their country. In their regular lives, some veterans of the conflict in eastern Ukraine help homeless animals find a family. This all started when they found five abandoned kittens next to one of their houses.

Ukrainian servicemen are among the volunteers. The animal defenders turned to veterans who had served in some of the hottest points of the conflict in eastern Ukraine — Ilovaisk and Pisky. They offered the veterans a chance to take part in a very unusual photo session.
