oh Darth, so sorry for your loss. I just read about you losing your precious pet and companion. Is the other cat ( her buddy ) still alive?

So annoyed :( I just called all the shelters again, I’m terrified at the idea that she gets caught, brought there and then put to sleep :( It keeps me up at night, I should of made her a collar even if she hated them. By the way my city puts them down after only 3 day!! AAhhhhhh :(

kelly, if they have a description and/or pic of her, surely the shelter wouldn't do that, but contact you even if one resembles her!
When we had a lost cat, the shelter had a note up right by reception about him.

Do you have posters up in your neighbourhood?
Did you put a piece of your worn clothing outside as I suggested?

Hoping she's returned to you soon!

Buddy's still alive , he's a mere 18 and a half...He keeps looking for her though...

I've done everything. They won't take a picture but they did take a verbal description and told me to check the website every 3 days. I'm making myself sick about this, don't know what to do now that I've done everything and waited weeks.

We have a 9 y/o male cat who, although fixed, is pretty darn frisky. We adopted him as an adult so I don't know the exact specifics but I think he matured and sprayed before he was neutered so he still does his "spraying march". He also uses our other cat as his hump thing rather than a blanket. I think in our case he is asserting dominance to a degree but, I don't know about your cat, but he goes into an allout "trance". So I just push him off and snap him out of it. I really don't have any answers but just similar experience.

thanks never thought of that probally is a dominance thing he never did that with our other car Bellla around but with now a male in the house makes sense hmmmm food for thought thanks

Gah, it's our first time having two cats in heat at the same time..... it's nuts!

Oh man Natalka that must be crazy!! having one cat in heat is bad enough.

I bought Buttons a new collar this morning, has a bell on it which he is not used to. He has be running around tying to get it off for the last two hours, its so funny. He's tried everything, rolling over, scratching, pawing etc. He is now staring at me like I've tortured him. He's been staring at me for 20 minutes so far.

Oh, Miss April, I know what it's like to bell a cat! It can be quite funny - and yet, so very irritating!

Hello everyone!
I'm new to Smart Canucks and I found this page really interesting! I've loved cats ever since I was a little girl. I would go to the farm and play with the cats there for days. :-) They never got company much which made them happy to have me there. I currently have a 1 year old cat named Oreo who has so much energy and loves to play! I have to agree with you Miss_April about the bell on the collar. Oreo was so mad at me. The bell drove him crazy until he finally broke it off his collar. I absolutely love my cat's fur. He is so soft and has such a shiny coat but it pays off with how much he cleans himself. :-)
