I need a punching bag more than I need a hug.
I did some freelance design work for a woman and collected a cheque about a week and a half ago. I deposited my cheque last Thursday, and immediately bought some gifts and paid some nagging bills.
Today I check my balance, and the cheque was reversed for NSF! On top of that, my bank charged ME another $5 to do so!!
I've now spent multiple hundreds of dollars, and my acct balance is lower than usual since the bank took the money back. The woman who owes it to me isn't answering her phone!!
This woman took 8 weeks to pay me via Paypal the last time I tried to collect payment, so this time, I thought I was being safer by meeting her in person and getting a physical cheque. I need that money back and am extremely angry of her horrible business practice! (She owns her own business, making bath products). I'm so frustrated I have to go through such a long difficult process to get my money from her. I did everything in a timely manner, and met all her needs. She repeatedly told me how happy she was with my work.
Needless to say, if she ever wants me to do work for her again, she's paying me CASH, UPFRONT. I want to slap her right now!

I could use a hug. My dad has been in the hospital in Saskatoon for over a week. He has pulmonary embolisms (blood clots in the lungs). He's 5hrs away, so I haven't been able to go see him. :( I know he is being taken care of, but it still really sucks.

Sorry about your dad, but hopefully he'll recover soon! I know what it's like to be far away when a parent is ill.
