I got the strawberries yesterday. They didn't have the right size in stock either, so I bought the smaller pack selling for $2.80. The cashier didn't even look at the size qualification on the coupon. If they had, I'd have talked to my store manager (great guy) who I KNOW would have let me have it anyway. Most of the Safeways don't scrutinize the coupons and are very loose about letting them go through.
It's the one great thing about shopping at Safeway!Joining swagbucks will add richness to your life! I've got over $1,000.00 in gift cards so far. Please join me! http://swagbucks.com/refer/Jayne300

Just in Safeway.
Windex BOGO 950ml $5.39 so essentially $2.70 each while HB is $3.59.
At the same time you pick uo AMs worth $0.70 - $1.05 depending on whether you buy 3 or 6 items.
I have three $1 coupons on the Windex so pre tax $4.39.
3 = 13.17 + 45 AMs ($6.30) = eff. value of $6.87/6 or $1.15 each.
Re: Ribs
Tony Roma B2G100 ($14) 681g = $17.99
After deducting for the AMs ($36 - $14)/2 = approx. $11 each
Butcher's Cut 800g = $7.99 discounting taste a far better deal
Signature Cafe 850g had no price on it but is usually $9.99 so a better deal as well.

I am pretty newbie here. So If I have scrubbing bubble BOGO manufacture coupon, how does it work? the safeway offers BOGO as well. If the price of the item is $5, for example. So for $5, I will get 3 items with the store BOGO deal and my manufacture BOGO coupon? and will I get the AM offer with that?
and do you know if AAA Duracell Batteries are still on sale for $7.99?

What if someone goes and tries to use the Buy 2 earn 50 bonus miles coupon for the Ovenjoy bread? Would Safeway reject it, or would they HAVE to honour the coupon?? Has anyone tried?

The coupon is not valid so they would not honor it. You may be able to use it but if the plu is the same(I haven't checked) then it would still be buy 5 even if the coupon said buy 2

I didn't make it into the store yesterday. Has anyone figured out the price of the bread that is on the coupon yet? The bread in the flyer is 450g and the coupon is for 675g.
I hadn't even realized Ovenjoy came in different sizes.

Just about to start valuing July 12 - 18, 2009.
There are a couple of outstanding offers this coming week (although nothing that pays you to shop) that I thought I'd alert you to now:
Purex TP (12/24) @ $6.99 B2G50 ($7)
Essentially you're getting one package free or effectively $3.49 each.
I noted that SDM has Royale on for $6.99. Safeway blows SDM away this week.
The above is an example of why I prefer the Valuing method. In the absence of other points programs you know that unless another merchant sells same sized TP for less than $3.49 Safeway is the better buy. (I note SDM has a points program but the payback is minor compared to the bonus miles offered at Safeway).
Best Deal of the Week: (on first reading):
Oasis 100% Juice 1.75L $3.50 each B2G50 ($7)
2 will cost you $7 and you get $7 in AMs.
This is a terrific one for the food bankers.
Lots to work on this week. Lots of packaged meat deals. The Manufacturers offers this week are So-So.
BTW: 28

Well the Butcher's Cut Weiners 675g are B2G15 @ $5.49 each.
It would seem natural that the 500g should be less price (but stranger things have happened). So assuming no revisions this week and it is a B2G50 on the 500g in the email.direct it should also be a good deal.
Even if they're $5 each the AMs will effectively take the 500g to $1.50 each.
