Yesterday was supposed to be mainly sunny but it ended up cloudy from noon on.
Lets see if today is right, mostly sunny this morning and -12 now, a few clouds and going up to -9 this afternoon.

Getting to work on Tuesday morning could be especially tricky in the GTA.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Toronto, the GTA and much of southern Ontario.

A Colorado low is expected to move over southwestern Ontario Monday night, bringing with it between 5 and 10 cm of snow in time for the Tuesday morning commute.

The snow is expected to change to rain later in the day.

Caledon, Newmarket, Barrie, Orillia, Peterborough and other eastern parts of the province could see in excess of 10 cm of snow by Tuesday night

Meantime, the extreme cold weather alert continues for Toronto.

The city’s medical officer of health issued the alert back on Jan. 5 and with Sunday’s wind chill, it will feel closer to -20.

The northwest wind will be gusting to 50 kilometres/hour.
