Snow is expected to begin this afternoon or evening and persist through Sunday. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm are forecast, but greater amounts are possible. Additionally strong westerly winds are expected to combine with snow to produce reduced visibilities in blowing snow tonight and Sunday.

Blizzard conditions with poor visibility in snow and blowing snow are expected or occurring.

Snow, blowing snow and winds gusting near 80 km/h will continue today. Winds will diminish slightly this afternoon, giving a slight break in conditions. However, winds will increase again tonight resulting in deteriorating conditions once again.

10 to 15 cm on of snow are expected today with a further 10 to 15 cm forecast by midday on Monday.
