A mixed bag of wintry weather is expected Tuesday and Tuesday night.
A low pressure system approaching Newfoundland from the southwest will bring snow, freezing rain, and rain to the island beginning Tuesday morning and continuing into Wednesday morning. Strong winds will also develop along the southwest and west coast in areas prone to enhanced southeasterlies. A Wreckhouse warning has been issued.
There is some uncertainty associated with the precipitation associated with this system. There is the potential for an extended period of freezing rain for interior regions and a significant amount of rainfall for the south. Please monitor future forecasts for updates and possible warnings.
