So..we had a mild spell which ruined the snow, ponds, no snowmobiling, etc......but it turned cold again last night, currently -8 feels like -16 and cold temps for the rest of the week...and now we have a Snowfall Warning and more snow in the forecast towards the end of the week...if this keeps up should be able to at least go to cabin by the weekend
SNOWFALL WARNING
Issued at 05:11 Monday 15 January 2018
Snow will develop over southern Newfoundland overnight and spread to the northeastern areas by Tuesday morning. The snow will be heavy at times on Tuesday, especially during Tuesday morning rush hour. The fresh snow will also be accompanied by strong northeasterlies, causing reduced visibility in blowing snow over exposed areas. The Connaigre Peninsula, Clarenville, and the Bonavista Peninsula will see a brief changeover to ice pellets near midday on Tuesday. Total snowfall and ice pellet amounts near 20 cm are expected before the snow tapers throughout the afternoon and evening on Tuesday.
