A humid southwesterly flow is forecast to persist, with daytime high temperatures rebounding back into the upper 20s today. In addition, humidex values are expected to reach the mid 30s.

I’m in the Okanagan and we are pretty smoky here, some scary fires in the area. It’s a little cooler so I’m going to tennis this morning and then we are out to a bbq later on. So hoping for rain to quell the fires, and if my plans change because of it I won’t mind a bit!

Humidex values reaching 37 are expected.

A period of hot weather will continue.

Highs today are expected to reach the low 30s inland. Limited wind and rising humidity will add to its discomfort, as humidex values climb to the mid to upper 30s. Cooler conditions can be expected along the coast.

Temperatures will remain relatively mild tonight, with lows not falling below the mid to upper teens. However, showers are forecast to begin tonight and may provide some relief from the warm temperatures.

The heat will ease somewhat on Sunday under cloudier skies with showers and moderate southwesterly breezes, though temperatures will still rise into the mid to upper 20s over many areas, with humidex values well above 30.
