..its a glorious, sunny day -5 feels like -13 and -3 feels like -9 for this afternoon....we have a "Poker Run" this afternoon--we snowmobile to 4 different cabins scattered across the island to collect a card and then get the 5th card at the local hall, where they open your cards and keep track of everyone's hand (Texas Hold'em style) and the best hand wins a lot of $$$...I feel lucky!!! hope I win..have a great day everyone...don't forget to put your clocks ahead an hour tonite!!

Sunny, clear, and cold here today! -22 and plenty of snow on the ground, but it is so nice to see the blue sky.

Lots of little deer prints in the snow coming up our driveway and going around the side of the house. Some telltale mounds of moose poo, too! *L*

Spring has already sprung. Huzzah! It was melting like crazy on Saturday, freezing rain on Sunday, just cold on Monday and warming now. It is supposed to be about 14 on Thursday. I hope so. We didn't get all our wood stacked in the garage before snowfall, but if the snow melts away we can do a good enough job of stacking now to get us through the rest of the winter. As it is, we only have a few more days worth of stacked wood. Which isn't bad.

Its been an interesting week for sure. Mild around 0 lots of sunshine. Left the island Monday morning on our ferry, and there was an AMAZING sunrise



The ferry broke down in the afternoon so I was "stranded" for a few days..staying with friends, etc...the ferry is still not fixed..meh.. but I was able to return home yesterday evening by bush plane
