the gypsy moth caterpillars have just about finished this smaller oak tree now. you can see more bare trees behind it.
they've started on the maple tree and the large pine further back is almost bare. i didn't know they went after pines?Last edited by heartgirl99; Fri, Jun 18th, 2021 at 09:57 PM.

@heartgirl99 I watched a clip earlier of John Tory speaking about how they combat these infestations without pesticides.
These pics you show seem to indicate the moths are winning.

Wow, did we ever get a mega rain storm yesterday afternoon. We got caught in the rain storm driving home from grandsons 12th b-day celebration. We were the only ones on the road and it felt like something out of Twilight Zone (old timey show).

We were under a heat warning for a few days then the weather turned cool and now we have a frost warning. I cannot make this stuff up! I am near the ocean so I think the garden will be okay. This year planted carrots, beets, tomatoes, onion, green onion, lettuces, kale, oregano, thyme, rosemary, parsley, cilantro, etc
FROST WARNING
Issued at 05:35 Monday 28 June 2021
Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas.
Minimum temperatures: plus 1 to 5 (coolest in low lying areas).
Locations: parts of northern, central, and northeastern Newfoundland.
Time span: early Tuesday morning.
Remarks: Patchy frost is expected to form as clear skies and light winds coincide with cool temperatures, especially in low lying areas
