Superstore free cookie

This morning my girlfriend told me what she heared on the playground: If you come with a kid to the bakery in Superstore they will give a kid free cookie. It workes great for shopping with the little ones as they know there is a cookie reward at the end of the shopping trip.

I have not tried it nor did my friend as we do not take our kids shopping. Has anyone have cookies from bakery?

I get some when I shop at Loblaws, so I am pretty sure Superstore does it too.

The Sobey's that I go to does it. In fact, until I read this thread, I thought it was meant for everyone. They just put the entire cookie jar on the counter without any tags or signs indicating "kids only" or such.

At our superstore and loblaws there is just a basket on the bakery counter and the sign says help yourself to one cookie. Also if you go to the meat counter, where the lunch meat is, they will give you little one a slice of bologna too. I take advantage of both of these. I am usually shopping with a minimum of two kids.

they have been doing this for a lot of years i think super store started this and sobeys soon followed

Loblaws does that too... many grocery stores do

maybe they should start giving out cookies in Libraries
