I ALWAYS check the Homesense stuff, most of them have a 'beauty/skin/hair care' section, similar to the one's in Winners, which is where I found the elf stuff (near the back of the store, on the right side - if you've been to that location). They had a bunch of Philosophy stuff too. I also found a lot of Philosophy stuff at the Winners in conestoga

That's so weird I would of never though to look for makeup products at Homesense since I thought it was all home stuff! Thanks for letting me know, maybe I will make a stop there this weekend.

Ooh I just saw that facebook one too! If FBS1 stands for Facebook Sale 1, can't wait to see for Sale 2 and so on could be!

Hmm, no maximum off on the order either. I am trying to place as small of an order as possible, but I love the studio line stuff. What do you recommend getting? from what I don't have so far.
I am thinking of the tickled pink blush (I saw lollipop26 do a review on this on youtube so I automatically want it), a couple more blushes perhaps.
studio eyeshadow in saddle, coffee bean and wild wheat.
face primer
c brush x2
fair concealer and brush on the other end
lip lock pencil
minty lipgloss in ny and la

In terms of stuff that I have tried and recommend that I think you don't already have:
The studio blush is quite nice, a lot nicer than I expected actually. Tickled pink would be good for those of you that are quite fair. I have Peachy Keen, which is a little light in colour, but gives a healthy glow, and is buildable if necessary.
Face primer? Yes please!
I do like the golden bronzer, but I save it for the summer time for a nice glow, it's a bit too much for the winter.
The contouring blush and bronzer is really nice as well, I use the bronzer to contour everyday. =) The shimmer is not too in your face.
Kabuki brush, for the face is so so so soft! I thought I would have wanted it denser, but it actually offers a nice and light coverage.
And things that I have considered getting for awhile:
Their lip lock pencil sounds interesting, and worth trying for only $1.50 with discount, I don't have it though, yet.
I personally would want to try their cream eyeliner, the black one is getting really good reviews for its staying power in the water and tie line.
I've wanted the small angled brush for awhile, it'd be great with that cream liner.
The eyeshadows from what I see of swatches online look great - amethyst, raspberry truffle, pebble, coffee bean, and saddle, especially.

I got my order today, ordered on the 22nd and got it today, so 10 days. Still no sign of my order from Jan 2nd though. I thought about it and I had ordered the daily brush cleanser and the large brush holder. I heard on youtube that the brush cleaner smells like weed so it is probably getting a thorough check at customs. So I would recommend not buying those two items. I've been waiting on a month now for that order.
Here is my latest order:
From left to right:
- Warm Bronzer (notice how it didn't have that elf film cover on it, kinda straight)
- eyebrow kit (in light, this is not very light, I would recommend this one if you have medium brown hair like me)
- studio eyeshadow in amethyst (this is small and really cute)
- studio "C" brush (I like this a lot, will get more)
- regular line eyeshadow brush (I have 4-5 of these now, they are a favourite of mine, but I think I like the studio one better, the head is bigger on that one)
- regular line all over cover stick in apricot beige (this is quite orange, it may work on undereye not sure)
- regular line eyelid primer (I hear this one sucks and the mineral one is the one to get.oh well will try it out)Last edited by Justine; Mon, Feb 1st, 2010 at 11:57 AM.

So with the free shipping thing...is that just something you luck into? Where does it first show you got free shipping?

Looks like the Canada Post was busy delivering everyone's latest ELF orders today. =) Ordered mine on the 24th late at night, shipped the 26th and received today (5 business days), super happy about how quick it came. Well also happy that I paid maybe $2.50 for the order since they had to refund me the concealer that didn't come last time (the full $3 when I only paid $1.50!) and some pinecone money I had accumulated on PayPal.

I got:
Elements Custom eyes in Moondust (a pretty taupey brown)
Mineral lipstick in Natural Nymph (left)
Mineral lipstick in Runway Pink (right, I think I'm in love)
Studio line corrective concealer
Shine eraser blotting sheets (love these, so convenient)
I know everyone says Natural Nymph is supposed to be a GOSH darling or MAC myth dupe, but it goes on more like a concealor on me and swatched. It's not too pigmented and is matte, so to cover up my lip colour, I have to layer more, and it just ends up making me look like death. It doesn't look right unless it put on some glittery gloss.
I remember GOSH darling swatching a little bit shimmery, was it just the tester then?
Good on ya for free shipping S J! And about that hmacdona, it really is just a matter of luck, because looking at S J's order, it is small but has quite heavy items, yet she got the free shipping. We don't usually see that we have free shipping until you have placed the order, and then it shows your order receipt on screen. The invoice they send to your email addy will also show $0.00 shipping if you got free shipping.
