If you can purchase a nice quality hot chocolate that you can open the lid, you can dump out the contents into a bowl and stir in a few drops of peppermint flavouring.
You'd have to mix it up quite well for it to completely dissipate into the powder (perhaps in a food processor a bunch at a time, with a drop each time) but it would probably work very well!

hmm, that is a good idea with the peppermint oil. It would probably work quite well. You may need to experiment with how much to put in.

Timothy's coffee shops (usually found in malls) has Mint Hot Chocolate as well as other flavours. When I bought some for my husband for Christmas it was about $4.50 for a 280g can.

It may be more of a Christmas item - but you could get a bottle of mint coffee flavouring (from a place like Timothy's or Second Cup etc.) and include it in the basket...
