There are more mods than just these ones, and they have never PMed people when removing posts unless issuing a formal warning

A problem with the new modding system is it used to send 100s of PMs to mods, every time you reported a post, they would get an email from their PM, so if they had taken care of a report, they would see it was ongoing. Now they don't get PMs and they have to visit a page of reports. It shows which are still needing attention of so each mod could have deleted one post each without realizing there is ongoing issues.

I'm going to say that what I don't like is how there are different rules for different members.

I'm not even going to get into the argument about the newest thing going on, but why are those mods or former mods allowed to have their threads & posts taking stabs at Boo, but if a member even so much as hints at disagreeing with a mod without even naming someone, their posts are deleted, and then they are publicly chastised for daring to make that kind of post.

There are a few other mods here that have the ability to remove the posts in rants, and regardless of how you feel about the former mods who have made the post, your responsibility is to uphold the rules and delete them.

I've done the admin/mod thing for many years on a site much busier than SC so trying to tell me what the role is like is moot, I already know, and I think Boo needs to make a lot of changes here along with putting in place mods that will uphold the rules regardless of who the member is among other things that I'm not going to bother posting here; I'm also not going to get into a debate with anyone who disagrees with my post. It's my opinion, and I am entitled to it even though some people have been working hard at keeping my posts off the forum when they don't agree with me.

The rant posts have been reported, it's time that they are deleted.

I’m not going to argue your points but I will say you seem to look at it from a professional, neutral point of view. As for most of us here have become friends, almost like a virtual family. Sometimes dysfunctional, there can be disagreements but in the end we got each other’s back. Can feel personal, just my take on it.

Yes but you also clearly forgot to mention have a personal issue with me for a long time because I wouldnt ban a prominent member on here. I'm not going to go into details because it's fruitless, but you could of thrown that in.
I have requested mine to be deleted because it took a turn I didn't want. My post has no stabs but later on it did take a turn.

Actually, that's still wrong, I never asked you for a ban, I asked you to look into a conductor running an extremely high number of trains, one of which I was very badly screwed on (more than $35 worth from my own stash to fix her train) that I did not receive a rating for.

The issue was that you came across as though you were not even reading what I sent to you and responding in a way that made absolutely no sense to the content of my PMs.

All I asked was to have a rule in place in regards to the number of trains any one conductor should be running at one time, and that conductors should not demand that riders give them a positive rating immediately upon receiving the envie, but rather wait until the train has been returned home. You refused to believe that anyone was even making that rule about rating of trains, even though I provided you with all the information you needed. Since you're now claiming I asked you to ban someone, that speaks volumes.

I will not continue to argue with you about this, especially since you've now changed it into something completely different than what actually occurred.

Personally Sally, I do wish you all the best, but I still firmly believe that you were over-loaded and somewhere along the way, positive outcomes were lost.

The threads have been deleted!! I’m going to leave for a while (blow off some steam). Only permitting us to know information that is in the sites favor seems to be morally wrong. This isn’t politics it’s a website. We aren’t idi0ts and it would be nice to be able to make our own judgment without information being hovered and controlled. No one was being disrespectful in these threads. Shame on you.

I'm really not understanding all the anger, the posts that were deleted directly broke the rules listed on SC about 'attacking' members; while some posts in the threads were not of that nature, many posts were.

It doesn't matter who made the posts, the rules are supposed to be applicable site-wide.

Technically, members who attack others are supposed to be banned, but the feelings of those involved can't be dismissed either and are completely understandable, it just seems to me that it comes down to following the rules that everyone was in support of until the posts in question.

I agree with Kraze on this one. The rules should be for everyone not just certain members. I think SC needs to start pushing those rules towards everyone so no one get's special treatment.

Dear dear, this is just getting more insane by the hour... Problems between boo/adms/mods should be discussed and debated between boo/adms/mods... i'm off seeing if the P&G samples are finally available.
