Attacking a new member will result in an immediate ban. Even telling them their thread is a repost is NOT allowed.
The problem with the rule is that it means that a hell of a lot of members including very senior members would get banned as well since text based posts are open to interpretation of the reader. For example: What one person my feel is 'sarcastic in a negative way' may appear completely different to another.
I did happen to learn quite a few interesting things about SC Inc. while listening to a long run of Queen songs & surfing the net which explains A LOT... but I will leave it at that.

It doesn't take away from what the forum offers, all the original forums are still open to all members, it is just a hidden forum. When they first introduced games to the forum, the paid members got a week of access before it was released to the general forum - but I think that was more about us beta testing than a perk lol
