Unless they break a rule or are obviously spam, they can't be deleted though. If you look back at the first thread of some long term members the posts were "weird"

Is there a way to notify the internet that I am a man? And not that kind of man? :yikes::lol:.

There! That's more like it!

I'm getting all kinds of car ad's right now and I don't even have a drivers license lol.
I admit, I thought a little of you with vesper's screenshot ;)
I get that ad a lot too, I just like teasing them ;)
Although I think I started getting it bc I clicked it to earn swagbucks
I mentioned this earlier, but the mods and owner of this forum don't think it is a serious enough issue to ban the new users. These people are being paid to spam websites such as this. I know of another forum that has a zero-tolerance policy regarding these types of spammers, and quite frankly, it is a refreshing change. What I don't get is that some regulars here will respond seriously to these spammers...
As I have said, unless they have a spammy sig or links or are clearly spam/advertising, they are left until they do actually spam
Strengthening our spam rules would mean the whole games room forum would need to be deleted
The people who get paid to post get paid to post links, they are usually getting to 5 posts which is what most sites require for a signature or links in posts, once they do that they will be banned
Yahoo! I like these ads better! The internet has my age wrong, I am 35. Since I was 18, I always wanted a 35 year old woman, now I am, and the internet feels 25-34 is a better idea. Boo!

I do wish there was a way to stop them from reviving(sp?) really old threads ...
A couple of my other boards have banned sig lines totally due to spamming issues. They are more political boards though so it makes more sense.
At least with the new format you can see when the thread was started and decide whether or not to respond.
