I've noticed lately that folks seem to be getting a bit more impatient with other members. More than once I've seen posts criticizing others (where is this? why hasn't this been posted? what's taking this individual so long to do x? etc). I'm not sure if it's just that people don't realize that mods & regular contributors are doing this on a volunteer basis & are not getting paid for their work.
Is there some way to emphasize that people post on SC out of the goodness of their hearts, not because there's a paycheque involved? It's not just new members who've shown this impatient attitude, some folks who have been here a while have also made these types of comments.
Again, I don't think folks are being critical cause they are trying to be nasty. I think it's just a misunderstanding (at least, I hope that's the case).

You know what I'd like to see at the bottom of every thread? A 'back to top' button. Especially in the game room. I think I'll put that on my wishlist for Santa, Christmas 2011 :)

My thoughts exactly I received some pretty nasty comments when I posted the SDM flyer by hand no pics so I just pretended I din't have the flyer lol. I know most really appreciate it but as andit says we do this on our own time.
what do you mean the itrader has been discontinued ??? as I looked at it the other day and could see current feedback that was left that day and for top traders I was number 6 or 7 and now I am in the top 5....perhaps it just updates automatically ??
I asked the other day - support from the people who made it is what is discontinued, meaning its difficult to make changes to the core workings of it but it will continue to work

yeppers, Boo didn't make I trader others did, him and I looked into it last year because people were asking about changes and it was discontinued. It will still work theres just no option of being able to change things unless Boo made a completely different system, moving everything wouldn't be worth the time and stress it would take.
