umm sorry sally I had to edit something AGAIN : (
I love this website, but this: http://smartcanucks.ca/canadian-free...omment-page-1/ is incredibly wrong and irresponsible to post.
Hey, I love this site, but hate the "spread the reputation around" function! I understand the reason for this block, as some people could totally go crazy. However, there are a a few people who dedicate so much time to this site and I wish to rep every week, but cannot - I'd hate to waste time repping other people "just so" I can send it where I really want it :(
M2C :)
I first want to say thank you for what you do. I imagine you have alot to oversee and do behind the scenes. I appreciate a place in which to access this information. I just wish there was a basic set of "rules" set out. I know nothing is perfect, but I see alot of bullying on here. I know you posted zero tolerance, but as someone who has been bullied on this forum, I would like to know what that means? I don't understand why its permitted for people to have the power to "expire" a thread without knowing all the facts and "assuming" motive or intention or seeing something that is not there. Or a person who disagrees without all the facts, so they publicly impute a bad motive into what your saying, forcing you to defend yourself becuase if you didn't, you would look guilty. I think some rules should be set in place. Why not have an ignore button like other threads? I see people get bugged and say " someone needs to stop this thread", yet that is the very one who won't shut up and keeps casting insults and then follow you to a different thread to start it up again. Its one thing to disagree or have an opinion, its quite another to namecall, put a motive or assume and publicly declare someone else has an agenda. Its another to tell others to "expire" them. People who do this and abuse proper intention of expire or bully should be banned in my opinion. Or get a warning and if they do it again, banned. I see people say things on here they would probably never say to someones face. Cyber bullying is cowardly. So exactly what does zero tolerating mean? If someone is concerned about a thread, PRIVATELY pm that person and ask for clarification. Don't assume and publicly start posting about it. That really puts the threadholder on the spot. If he doesn't respond, he looks guilty, if he does, people jump on the bandwagon and say your equally guilty becuase you are defending yourself. You can't win for losing! There needs to be some strictor guidelines. I also havn't gotten a response to my bullying and don't know if its been forgotten or still investigated? It would be great to suspend a thread if any of these rules were being broken until a moderator could get to it, disallowing slandering someones reputation.
Taxsavey, if your situation was not dealt with please pm me with details
I know I haven't been here as much lately, but when I do have time to visit, I keep getting the welcome message at the top of the forums for unregistered guests. It goes away once I leave the page though. Just thought I'd let you know. :P
I've been having problems the last couple of days where I get logged off in the midst of posting (I learned my lesson the hard way & now use notepad).
Wondering if this is related to the new little laptop I'm using or my isp or ???
Am I the only one dealing with this? Misery needs company, ya know. :P
I would love to see a post on coupon trading etiquette.
Is there any way of locking a post once it expires so that no other posts can be made further fanning the fuel? I know things are accidentally expired or wrongly expired but once a mod sees it he or she can decide to open it again. Even better once a post is expired by a mod can it not be deleted altogether?
There are multiple threads that get "locked" ....but yes :embarassed: I am guilty of posting in an expired thread..more so because a few of us are joking after the thread was expired...nice stuff though.... more so towards the original poster try to ease the tension so they don't feel bad....
I have purchased the "bypass search flood" but is there a way to bypass the reps flood? Sometimes I want to rep someone on two different threads but I can't.
