I recently joined (December) and LOVE this site. It's one of the best forums! Though there is a LOT to learn it's chockful of information and I have already saved a lot since joining thanks to this site!
Just one suggestion (unless it is already here) a recall section or buyer beware section would be great!
Thanks Boo, great job your efforts do not go unnoticed!

Keep on doing what you are doing! You are doing a fabulous job. I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the "free" information I get everyday. Truly, my family greatly appreciates your efforts.

I am enjoying reading everyone's comments about how much they love SC.
It is good for the morale of the forum to make positive comments so everyone looks forward to logging in and posting.
It is also good for the morale of Boo and the mods to read an acknowledgement of the hard work they do to make this place great.
It's great to make constructive comments about what we would like to see improved, and Boo is inviting those comments with the starting of this thread.
We also want to remember with 70,000 plus members and growing, it's a lot of work to keep this place going.

I too love this site! You are doing an awesome job BOO! I can only imagine how much work is involved here!
One thing I would love to see is the forums organized in a different way. Not sure how exactly, but someway too make it easier to find what you are looking for. Maybe so it's easier to see all the topics that are new since the last time you logged in. Some sites have a "find new posts" and they list them all on one list. I use those all the time! I find it soo helpful.
I am positive that I miss so many things, cause I don't know where to look, or don't think of looking. I know the titles are bold if the are new, but you have to click on each section to see it.
Does that make sense, or is it just me?

As the owner/admin of this site, I'm quite sure BOO appreciates reading the positive comments that people have written about the site - truly think he doesnt' need to be knocked down by all negative/please fix this and this comments
Another comment I have to make is, I believe banning should be only be done by BOO himself after consulting with the Mod and individual person concerned in most cases. Sometimes it is quite apparent when someone has registered in SC just to troll but for members that have contributed to this site for a period of time, then banning should be left to BOO as he sees fit

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the original purpose of this thread was for anyone that was not happy with something on this site, to contact Boo about it. I have been reading on the forum of several people who are threatening to leave and that they are going to leave because of certain things going on that they do not approve of (ie censorship, cashbacks etc). He was opening it up for discussion that if anyone wants to tell him about it, he wants to hear.
The majority of people are happy with the site, that is clear. But there are people who are upset and may not say anything about it, and only tell certain people on the forum.
I think saying that you love the site, it has saved you lots of money and other positive things is great, but if you have something to contribute to the original purpose that is much desired. I think concerns should be addressed, and with everyone saying "i love it, nothing is wrong with it" the concerns are getting clouded by the hundreds of loving comments.Last edited by Justine; Wed, Jan 13th, 2010 at 07:50 AM.

There is always room for improvement! I think that is why this site is so good, because someone seems to be paying attention.
Keep doing what your doing. Address concerns. Manage the site. I quite enjoy this place and have learned so much.
Thank you for all your efforts!if at first you don't succeed, do it the way your wife told you...

Awesome job Boo! However I do have one suggestion:
Option to search members profile pages (in the case I want to leave them a note or view their tradelist) - Maybe this option is available and I don't know. For example, say I wanted to read a profile for a certain member and only knew their SC name, where would I type this so that I am taken to their profile page? I know I can click on "Member's List" and throw 100s of pages, but is there a quicker way?
Other than that, love the site!!! (Unless of course I come up with something else)

This is a great idea! Then....we can bookmark the trains that we are on making it easier for us to monitor it!! OHHH, how about like in gmail, 'star' the thread and then everytime we click on the 'star' option somewhere on our profile it would take to us to all the threads we 'starred'!

I had already posted a comment in another thread recently about a concern I had
http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/1625796-post34.html
and did not feel a need to reiterate it here as a rep comment from a mod indicated that my post had been noted. There have been a lot of constructive comments made in this thread, and I'm sure those have been noted also and are under advisement.
When we post a comment/concern once, in one thread, we are stating our viewpoint which Boo welcomes. Repeated, confrontive posts in multiple threads will at some point take on the effect of using a sledgehammer to kill an ant.
Boo has also stated that attacks on members or being aggressive is not tolerated on SC. To me, that also includes the way we as members address Boo and the mods. I just feel like we can have a dialogue in an adult manner without presenting an inventory list of "deficiencies". That would be discouraging to anyone.
