A finger infection can be WAY dangerous - partly because it seems so innocent. My son was chewing his nails, and thank goodness one day I noticed that the skin around one side cuticle seemed way too pink. Took him to the doc the next day - turns out it was a staph infection - the type that LEADS to flesh-eating disease! OMG I was just sick about that! If I hadn't noticed it, there could have been huge trouble!

Well I think he was about eight - and think - how often do you REALLY look at a little boy's hands? - at that age I was just constantly telling him to wash them, you don't really look at them! But it was because I was trying to get him to stop biting his nails, that I was looking (and painting them red before school - just to shock him, I'd remove it before he went - or use that smelly clear stuff).

I tried last night the veggie tortilla chips, they are yellow, green and orange and they were amazing! they have little seeds in them too, so good

:eek: Ohh glad you saw it and went to the DR!
Its scary how little things can be so serious!! HE has an appt with our family DR next Friday as well. BC she was so booked up I made him go to the clinic and he gave him a antibiotic cream. But I want him to go to our DR as well, just to let her know.
