For the 4th time in as many days, I have discovered Threads that have not only one thumbs down, but as many as 6...BUT FOR NO GOOD REASON!!
Most times it is because the OP is giving information on something or even posting about his/her deals....
If you don't want to read about it, MOVE ALONG!! No need to make the poster feel bad and give negative ratings (Thumbs down)..these weren't even bad links or misleading deals or whateverso why do that?
I have discovered there is one SC member in particular doing this, as most of her posts always have a negative comment to them..almost every single one.
Anyways, if you don't like something, just move on....if it is a scam or something that for sure is a bad posting, then fine leave the thumbs down, but SC is not about creating a negative environment and it seems some people insist on doing so....This thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by Litesandsirens911; Sun, Feb 7th, 2010 at 01:58 PM.

If you referring to the what show is your favourite thread, it was spam, and the OP had spammed before too, that's why people gave it a thumbs down. I don't know about what others you are referring to.

I agree. If it's a bad deal just use the report button and it will get removed.
No use taking away from the person's reputation by leaving a thumbs down.

I think maybe that people don't realize that giving a thumbs-up or -down is trackable (I sure didn't...) so they don't care.
But of course it's a feature which shouldn't be abused.
I actually don't see the need for there to be a negative option - if it's spam or something wrong with the post, it can be reported.

I'm wondering if there's a glitch in the system? I just clicked on thumbs up & it went down? SORRY!!!!! & yes, I clicked the right button. I'm so so sorry!!!!
But, there does seem to be a lot of negativity these days. Maybe it's the weather & folks getting antsy being cooped up? Maybe once spring hits the negativity can escape through the open windows.

I have also wondered this, and have asked before the same question.IMO ,there are a few threads i think do deserve a thumbs down, however,i also believe, that if a thumbs down is given,a reason why should also have to be given.I have had thumbs down in my posts before, and I am ok with that, but would like to know why,so I can atleast defend my post if I feel the need.

I agree. Unless it spam then why bother with the thumbs down. Report it if it's something that you feel should not be on the forum.
Odd about clicking the thumbs up and it showing as a thumbs down. I'd try it but I don't want to give this thread a thumbs down by mistake.
How do you track the thumbs up & downs anyway? Is there a way to know who is giving the thumbs?Join SWAGBUCKS! I've made over $1000 so far! Click here to join!!
