Hello Parents!
A little about me: I'm an elementary school teacher with training in special education. I also have training in the International Baccalaureate program which has a heavy emphasis on student-centered approach, and I'm also currently training to be a therapist.
My Plan: I'm planning a children's class on social and emotional development through art, role play, and mind-body awareness practice and I'm just researching whether this would be something that would interest you. I know from experience that regular schooling lacks in social & emotional education and would love to create a program that fills that gap especially for children that are struggling or falling behind. I'm thinking of offering the program as 1.5 hour class in the evenings for a total of 12 weeks. $30/class or $300 for the whole program. I would really appreciate your input on whether a program such as this would be of interest to you or someone you know. Any other feedback regarding timing/price/program will also be very helpful.
My sincere thanks for your feedback! This thread is currently associated with: Gap

My son goes to an IB French Public elementary school and social skills is definitely something they teach and even are evaluated on. If this wasn't something already taught at the school, I'd be interested in it but personally I think $30 is too much. I pay $15 for after school programs (science, languages, art, etc).
Hope this helps

I would be interested in something like this. $30.00 per class is a bit much though. I am a stay at home mom, and don't really know anyone with kids my daughters age, she is 3. I know that she is lacking in social skills I see that when she is around other kids. I worry about her starting school in the fall. She is very bright and very sweet but can be quite shy. We have been taking her places more lately where she can be around kids. She would definitely benefit from something like this. I also like that you would be offering an evening class
