Question - Is someone expiring 'Wishlist' threads?

Hey there, not sure why this is happening but someone has been expiring the thread for my Wishlist. I had a previous thread for my wishlist that I kept updated every week or so, but about a month ago someone expired it. There is no option for me to 'un-expire' it, so I created a new one about a month ago and have updated it as of Feb 9th. Someone has now expired this one too.

Are we not allowed to have a Wishlist thread? My list is too long to put in the 'About Me' section.

You are :) , but threads are being deleted up to one month. People are not using their "expired" button to keep the forum cleaned up. This thread gave notice of that: http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/119772-...deline-canada/

Anyone finding their trade list expired can PM a mod to have it put back. :)

If people would just use their expiry button, I wouldn't have to expire threads.

does this mean they are being deleted if tey are not active in one month? or you are just deleting them after one month regardless? I seen my last trade list was deleted whichkinda bothered me since i bump it frequently and had to re write a new one...

All trade lists are expired up to a within a month, unless they are reported to be expired earlier.

Sorry, there was no need for you to re-write a new trade list. Threads are NOT deleted, only expired - they can be easily brought back by PMing me.

OK thank you i wish i had known that before lol... darnit all. okay ill be sure to pm you!!!! i always just thought ppl would press the expire button if they no longer want to trade/they no longer have the items? Thats what ive done before (wishlist especially) but my trade list is fairly big, never just one item so i doubt it would expire in a month lol

When trade/wish lists are expired, is it because the last post hasn't been in more than a month or because they haven't been updated with the last month?

I think a lot of people update their lists quite often but don't bump them. Mods should check for this before expiring them.

I think they expire in a month, regardless of bumps/updates becuase my last one was bumped and updated often and it still expired

Yeah, that's what I thought was happening. Mods should scroll down and check if the list has been recently (< month) updated. If it has, the user is obviously still using it and it shouldn't be expired.

I agree with you :) but i guess its whatever is easiest for the mods

Thanks for pointing that out... we'll make sure the thread hasn't been updated within the last month before expiring :-)
