We had a jolly jumper for DS #1 and it hardly got used... for DS #3 we got a jumperoo & he uses it for hours and hours a day. He LOVES it, and I feel its way more safe...

We used both. DD went bananas in the jolly jumper, boy could she bounce She also really loved the jumparoo, she bounced less, but the toys amused her for hours. The jumperoo was way easier & quicker to get into compared to the jolly jumper. I could just pop her in it real fast if I had to leave the room. Those were the days
So my final answer is jumperoo!!!

I don't have a jumperoo because it looked like it would take up too much space in the apartment. Both kids loved the jolly jumper and it's easy to move from room to room and take with us when we visit grandparents. We have the one we hang from door frames. Jolly Jumpers also cost way less money.

I had the free-standing Jolly Jumper and both girls loved it. My first was in it quite a lot - she loved that it let her be "standing," and she would sit in it and swing back and forth, play with her feet, etc. The only thing I don't like about it is, my second girl was pretty chunky and I didn't feel good about how hard she was coming down on her little legs so I put it away and kept her in the exersaucer instead where she could bounce but her feet never left the floor.
I personally do NOT like the Jolly Jumper type of toy that has a bucket seat with a tray around it that hangs in the doorway. It's easier to get them into and out of, but to me it seems too easy for little fingers to get between the edge of the tray and the doorframe.
(FYI... if you come across a jumper at a yardsale that looks like a little red airplane, they were recalled years ago but are still out there.)Always looking for reasonably healthy food coupons, non-dairy products, and friendly cleaners (esp Method brand).
