When you pull your own credit it's a "soft hit" on your credit bureau(please choose this method). If you get the bank to do it, it can actually lower your credit score/fico score/beacon score and count as a "credit inquiry". You don't want too many credit inquires or you will look like a "credit seeker" which is a negative thing in the financial world.
