so....despite my hand wringing today, the Jays lost another extra innings game to a walk off by the Orioles.... ......whatever!
I have Jose Altuve ( Astros ) clips to keep me smiling!! Just look at him steal home!!

When I'm in pain, and really not feeling well at all, Jake comes and lays down beside me with his chin on my leg. He just watches me. If I start crying, he doesn't seem to know what to so, so he starts nibbling on my ears, knowing I'll start laughing, 'cause it tickles. His tail begins to wag Lo. I think he's happy that I'm laughing and smiling. And it does make me smile.
Love this little guy so very much.

He often just waits for me on the bed.

oh @22hicks !! Jake is the best! What a comfort and joy he is.
Today was a reminder that no matter how many birthday's our DD has, she'll always be around this age in our minds....

so....sadly I have decided to defect from Petro Can to buy gas and I am now a Shell customer.
Hooray for bumped up Air Miles.

Petro Can gave me incredible savings over many years with their Petro Points programme
( I enjoyed 12 cents off a litre each time I filled up! )

Then.....they ended their relationship with CIBC and CIBC changed the CC they used to have to a cash back one.
The old one gave me mega top up monthly bonus Points on all purchases, the new one did not so I declined to activate it.

I was holding out of course hoping that Petro Can would partner with another bank ( a better bank ) and offer us a new CC to use for payment. Pfft! they went with an RBC CC on a short term offer that saved you 2 cents a litre but only for a 3 month period?? Who applies for a CC to only get advantages on it for 3 months?

o.k. so the part about this that made me smile??

I have bought gas at Shell about 4 times now and the attendant was so sweet! He gave me multiple Marvel Pkgs each time that have these cute plastic character toys inside, I have suctioned cupped them all across the top of my monitor....ha ha
I should only have 4 ( 1 for each $30.00 spent on gas ) but I already have 15

I am easily amused.
