Question regarding Optimum Plus status? Is there any way to tell where you are in your "regular points" tally? For instance, if I was 300 points away from Plus status on Dec 15/11... I would totally go to SDM to "top-up". But I see no way to tell if that's the case, on my receipt or online.

Hi folks;

If I understand the base points vs. bonus points difference, I need to get 15000 base points to get plus status.

If I buy gift cards and use them to pay for my purchases, does that mean the cheapest I can get plus status for is $750? (7500 for buying gift cards, 7500 for using gift cards)

Basically, yes BUT it depends on how many coupons you use, for example

Buy $100 GC (1000 pts) to use
spend $125 - $40 coupons + tax = roughly $100 inc tax = 1250 base points on purchases

Once you get within a certain amount (1000 maybe??) the count down appears on your receipt. But you can also call customer service and they can tell you how close you are.

Nope! 20x events are a perfect time to pick up those high priced items that don't go on sale!

If you CAN get the 20% as well as the bonus points, do you need to spend 75$ including the 20% or after to get the bonus IE: 90$ - 20% = 75$ before coupons..

I don't know, it says after discounts and redemptions and I assume they would class that as a real discount (compared to coupons that are reimbursed)

The answer is YES I called the call center!

As long as your subtotal is above 75$ after the 20% discount. ie: Spend 90$ - 20% off = 75$ OOP = 18500 bonus points for this weeks promo
