Anyone else find this place a bit expensive and waste of time considering the fact that the toys are three to five years old?

The spring sale in London is May 13-16. I'll be going to it and you can see the dates for yourself at the link below!

My friend goes down there from Sudbury (4 hrs or so) every Christmas for the "awesome" deals and bugs me to go every time. I never have. I can't justify spending all that extra money on gas when the things she comes back with were not really that great of a price and the difference spent in gas makes up for what we may have saved. I never see any really super crazy deals in the flyers ..

Were there good deals last year? Honestly guys it's a waste of time I think. Don't bother. The Barbie Color-a-Character is on for $7.50. I bought it from Party Packagers three years ago on clearance for my niece for $3. Sorry OP I don't mean to be thread crapping but I'm really disappointed in this place. Living in T.O. I've been shopping at their store for over 10 years. The deals were good in the past when it was downtown T.O. The prices were reasonable for the toys they were selling (in terms of quality and date). Now, it's just a waste of time because all the toys are twice as much as they are at Walmart on clearance or they're so old that your kids or the kids you're thinking of getting them for already have them.

I love the books, I got a bunch for 50c each...as for the toys you really need to know the kids your buying for...babies and toddlers are really easy to buy for so you can get some great deals.

I find the deals can be hit or miss. I like to go just cause it's an excuse to get out of the house. And have found some great deals but for the most part most these are things you might find in clearance else where for cheaper.
But thanks to the OP for posting as some people might want to check it out for themselves.
