Question about SPC card
I have been visiting smart canucks for a few months now, and have finally decided to join. :)
I have a question about SPC cards, so many of you who post your victories (brags) mention that you use SPC cards at Zellers and manage to get so much off... how do you get the card? Aren't they students only? Or am I just seeing a lot of students being smart shoppers? I hope I'm not asking a dumb question. :embarassed:

Thanks Sally!... but... What is a Lou Lou "vip" card?

The subscription was under $15 I think and the card more than pays for itself, Zellers, the Bay are my favs.

I see, just did a search and I know what you guys are talking about now. Thanks! :)

Not a dumb question, btw! By any means!! Great card... recommend getting it this year (for the coming school year--aug-july)... I'm sure SC will have the know how of how to get the VIP one!!

I have an SPC card because I'm still in high school. Believe me, at $8 a card, in a week, I saved that much and more. So it pays for itself.
They usually have a deal at the beginning of the year offering a $10 giftcard to bestbuy or future shop for every two cards you buy.

Getting the VIP SPC card is definitely worth it ($14.95+tax for Ontario). I've had the SPC VIP for 2 years now (even when I was a student) and love it. No ID required.
I've learned 2 ways to obtain the SPC VIP card: 1) LouLou Magazine and 2) If the store your work for is part of the SPC program, make sure to keep your eye out for "mystery shoppers" because they quiz you about promotional discounts and if you answer correctly and say "SPC", they'll give you a SPC VIP card (I've heard the same story by 2 or 3 employees who've asked me about how I acquired my SPC card).
