Its been going on for past couple of years , Zoo is the new addition I think, well ! if you want to get passes for any place other than the last four then better be prepared to line up an hour or more before libr. opens.....but its undoubtedly a great opportunity

FYI only certain libraries have the ROM, OSC, Zoo, etc. Make sure you check before you waste your time lining up.

In my experience with these passes, they do not include the special exhibitions (ie. AGO/king tut)

No, you have to have a valid Toronto Public Libraray card , you could get one if you work in Toronto or attend school / Univ. in Toronto.

Cool. I didn't know (the library) did this. Now that I moved to Hamilton, I find out
but I still have a TPL card.
I actually have about 10 different library cards from
different cities I lived in, across the board
I've rec'd over $1500 so far of Amazon.ca gift cards. All for free!

Folks, you could pay the $25 or whatever it costs to have a card in circulation for three months. Then queue up for the attraction pass card.

Even when the library card expires, you can still use it to access TPL online resources. Worth the investment--I did that in 2007!

DonnaG, yesterday's Toronto Sun did have an article in the front news section about the Toronto Zoo being new to this year's program.

The article did mention users requiring to have a valid TPL card in order to take out the pass. So if you can prove you live or work in Toronto (check TPL website for information on what ID will work), the library card is free. Otherwise, it is the non-resident card option and fee for you to get the card activated for 3 months.

Does anyone know how early you need to line up to get a pass to the OSC or ROM? In your reply, can you also post which library you're referring to.

I've sent my husband a number of times, and he's never early enough to get these. I know there's only 5 pass per venue per library. Thanks!
