A round of reps for the last friday in the month of June,
& I’ve heard that our group now considered a platoon,
Rep for the summit & our boarded up city,
Cause the way it looks now, sure ain’t postcard pretty,
Rep for the fake lake that won’t see jet skis,
& rep for the businesses left flapping in the G-8 breeze,
Rep for the CN Tower which now stands closed,
For the empty Royal Alex & for the AGO,
Rep for the mailboxes that were also removed,
For the bus shelters & garbage cans cause they are gone too,
Newspaper boxes have also been 86’ed as well,
& don’t even ask “where’s the nearest hotel”
Rep for the poor cops who are assigned to this detail,
& rep for the weekend, for we will prevail,
Rep for the protesters, who have an original thought of their own,
& if they have principled beliefs & are not merely a drone,
Rep for all the businesses that will be taking a hit,
Cause the big boys in charge don’t really give a sh**,
Rep with hope that this goes off without a major hitch,
Apologetic rep cause this rant is in the form of a bit**!

Oops! That's too bad. I don't know if you have an above ground or inground pool. I have an inground, and it is a saltwater system. If you don't have it, it is a great investment to add one. I never have algae problems, and my brother in Montreal would sometimes get it, but since he switched to salt water, he doesn't have any problems either.

We have an above that is in the ground. Looks much like an inground, Only thing we could get by the bylaw office, that was really aggravating.
I wanted to switch but the big guy just looks at me like he's made of money...... More like he just doesn't want anymore work... Great system though I saw it at the pool store. We usually never have algae problems.
It has to be the tree that is dying next door have to skim & vaccum everyday. We had to buy a net leaf cover if we are not going to be around. I'd just love to cut the tree down at my expense but they won't do it. Hmmm nothing prettier that a dead tree in your backyard.

I'm not one to watch an event when I know the outcome, but based on the comments here yesterday, I caught the replay last night. I don't feel sorry for the Italian team, but I do feel sorry for their fans. Quintessential "lunch bag let down!".
Good Friday Morning All!!
Have been burning the candle at both ends lately and have finally found something that is representative of how I feel .....
Courage is not the absence of fear but acting in spite of it.

Well if your chlorine and pH levels are in range, your filter is clean and the water is circulating properly, it's just a matter of scooping out your neighbour's junk and waiting for the algaecide to kick in. Nothing else you can do. But you knew that already.
My daughter is skipping school today too. The school buses are cancelled because of the G-20. I was going to drive her in but I thought I'd give her a day off instead. She helped me with the grocery shopping this morning.Just because something isn't right for YOU doesn't mean it's wrong.
