Good Morning! Not so warm out today. Thanks for the winning words, trivia and reps. Trying to catch up on repping right now.

I'm going over to my sister's place tonight to watch some movies and have a girl's night in. Does anyone have any good dip recipes? I always seem to make the same ones and I'm looking for something a little different. My sister is kind of picky too so that doesn't help. I was thinking maybe a nacho dip or something, any ideas?

For nachos we just buy J.L. Jardines. They have enough flavours to please everybody - Peach salsa is a crowd pleasing favourite.

For potato chips and veggies I mix an equall amount of Garden vegetable cream cheese with sour cream (any fat content works).

One of my Fav's is guacamole. Might be tough to find ripe avocados on short notice though;

4 avocado's
1/2 red onion
1 jalepeno - minced
2 limes (juiced)
Cilantro to taste
salt and pepper

If you want you can try this.

Cheese Ball

• 2 packs of cream cheese (8 oz. each)
• 8 oz. cheddar cheese (shredded)
• 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice (or from the plastic lemon squirt ball)
• 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
• dash cayenne pepper (about 1/4 and then to taste)
• 1/8 tsp. salt (seasoned salt is fine here too)
• 1 cup pecans (chopped fine)

Directions:

1. Let the cream cheese sit out for an hour or so. It's much easier to mix when warm.
2. Put the cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese in a bowl and mix well. You can use your hands to get it well mixed, but if you're a neat freak, then use a spoon and mix, mix, mix.
3. Add the seasonings. Mix well.
4. Put the mixture in the refrigerator for an hour or so. Then, you can form the cheese into a ball. You can do it before, but it's hard to make a ball out of warm cheese.
5. This recipe easily makes two cheese balls. You can have two different trays featuring different crackers, or have one cheese ball for a gathering and one for home.
6. Either roll the cheese ball around in the finely chopped pecans or gently pat the pecans into the cheese. I generally use a combination of rolling and patting.
7. That's the basic southern cheese ball recipe. It's great served on crackers or Triskets or any other bread type munchie.

You add mega amounts of garlick or not and the same for salt.
I do not use dill in mine
