Have you tried an electronics parts retailer like Sayal? They have a few stores in the GTA

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1000.00.

With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1000 of Delta Air Lines stock you would have $49.00 left.

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of wine one year ago, drank all the
wine, then turned in the bottles for the recycling REFUND, you would have had $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

So if my math is right (and it is likely that I don't), to get $214 in wine bottle deposits means you have to return 2140 bottles @ $0.10/bottle. So does that then mean that with your $1000 you have been buying wine @ $0.50 per bottle? You can't even get 2 Buck Chuck for that price?

Actually remember when it went up from 95 cents to $1.05 for the cheapest of the cheap

even if you make your own wine at 100 a batch, that's 10 batches of 30 bottles each batch for a total of 300 bottles. assuming 0.20 return per bottle, that's only $60.00. it doesn't work out but we get the point, better to invest in drinking than in stocks.

Yeah - not really looking for it - I'm not prepared to drink my wine out of a paper bag just yet. I can't imagine it's very good....I'm a bit of a wine snob as you know. I just thought it was my age.

I can tell you that the quick & rapid consumption was to enable us to go to a High School Dance & have a ton of fun. I think it was to see Wednesday or it may have been Liverpool......either way Loocie got herself grounded for being naughty.
