We were invited to a house party for tonight but had to decline yesterday.... hubby is still in a lot of pain with his shoulder injury and has been on tylenol 3 all week.... he's not very much in a party mood and is afraid that his shoulder may be bumped accidentally... you should have come anyways. it was a blast. there were a lot of people with great imaginations & great costumes & there were lot of poeple that didn't dress up. i met ilovederringer & she wasn't wearing the minni mouse costume. she & her friend decided to trade costumes, so i had mistaken her friend for her. not sure who won the costume contest cause i had to work today so i left around 11:30pm, just after the third round of judging. there was a group of people dressed as smurfs, papa, smurfette & 4 smurfs, ironman & his costume was incredible. the facemask even popped open just like in the movie. mr. roboto was really good, (he may have won). there was a scarecrow on stilts, a huge pink teddy bear, frankenstein & his bride, the mad hatter, several people dressed as the group KISS. one guy came in in what looked to be an authentic gene simmons costume, with the platform boots, all the makeup. he really looked like him. the ac/dc tribute band was great. the lead singer was doing the bon scott era & he even sounded like him. they got the place rocking. the "angus" guitar player was dressed in the schoolboy uniform & he was all over the stage just like the real angus. then came the rolling stones tribute band. the group played the music good, but wasn't impressed with "mick". didn't sound or act anything like him. i was disappointed after seeing the ac/dc band & especially after seeing the van halen tribute band. they were awesome. the lead singer was DRL. he dressed, acted & sang the part. the place was just a rocking. the only unfortunate part of the band was "eddie" didn't look anything like the eddie of that era. his guitar playing was good. he was close, but he wasn't eddie. since i had to leave early, i missed the alice cooper tribute band, so i don't know how it was. alex was broadcasting his show from there & he made an appearance as well as ryan from derringer in the morning. flair boy was spinning the tunes in between time & the choices were great. this was my first time at the sound academy & halloween bash & i had an awesome time.Quote:
