Today we have another extravaganza. Right now I am drinking a coffee that I just got at the drive-thru. In addition to that, I have two empty cups on my desk that I have saved but never played yet. That's right folks, I saved those cups just for you!!! But my desk is getting cluttered up and I had better play the cups before my wife insists that I play them, or she will play them for me. We can't have that now.

Okay, while I am enjoying my Timmys we can check to see if the other two cups will win me the grand prize...

Okay, I'm still being positive here. The next cup just "feels" heavier than the last two, so I have a feeling that I will win the car or the $10,000 when I roll up that rim. Now that I think of it, that cup feels heavier because there is still coffee in it. I can remedy that...

I went to school in Quebec, and I can't remember learning about WWI or WWII, and that was over 20 years ago... History was all about how North America came to be discovered, and the fights between English and French, and eventually Americans and English.

What a difference a few miles can make. I didn't think my school in Oakville was so hot at the time, but in the rearview mirror it doesn't look bad at all. The Peel schools that my kids are in have been excellent.

I've always thought that the school systems outside the Metro Toronto area were far better in the history department and their teachers want to teach to help the students to better themselves.

Just stopped in the library here to glance at the paper, then out again. Hope you are all enjoying your day.

Did you know on this day in 1970 Paul McCartney announced the Beatles would be breaking up!!! Just think of all the music we'd have if they had stayed together as long as the Stones (and all lived that long)! That's another thing about the Stones, none of them has passed away early (except Brian Jones of course).
